Full Stack Engineer

Allbound is seeking a detail oriented and process-driven Senior Full Stack Engineer (SaaS Platform Developer). As the title says, this job is end-to-end, full stack platform development. You will be a large part of a small team of dedicated developers building out a feature-rich, API-driven platform that hosts such clients.

To be a good fit for the position, we have to make sure we align on a few key things. The ideal candidate for this role is eager to work for a Phoenix-based SaaS startup that is poised for continued growth. Our future senior full stack engineer will help shape the system, the code, and the vision. Your code, written in this agile environment, will go from concept to completion quickly, but smartly. You’ll be able to put your stamp on this product from day one.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field / extensive work experience

  • Expert-level knowledge in OOD/OOP in PHP or similar web development language or framework (5+ years)

  • Advanced knowledge of HTTP API development and patterns like REST (4+ years)

  • Advanced experience with SQL or NoSQL database design and interaction (4+ years)

  • Advanced experience with microservice architectures

  • Proficient in JavaScript development and frameworks

  • Understanding of web development patterns like MVC

  • Comfortable with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban

  • A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, solid team player, with demonstrated abilities in analysis and problem-solving.

Big Pluses:

  • Security conscious and familiar with best practices and industry standards

  • Comfortable in a polyglot environment and adept at learning new languages

  • Experience with Docker and container management systems like Kubernetes

  • Proficient with AWS services, especially in the Compute, Database, Storage, and Analytics products

  • Proficient with CI/CD platforms

  • CMS development experience

  • Knowledge of “the channel” or indirect sales teams and software they use (they are our users)

  • Experience with automating e-commerce applications with Stripe or similar third-party vendors

  • Familiarity with popular CRMs like Salesforce.com and Dynamics

Product Designer

Allbound is seeking a Product Designer who will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to design software that meets our customer’s needs. You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance the user experience.

As a Product Designer, your input is vital, as you will help shape the platform and the product vision. Your vision, written in this agile environment, will go from concept to completion quickly, and smartly. You’ll be able to put your stamp on this product from day one.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish creative strategy, budgets & schedules for key design projects.

  • Mentor and supervise creative team while challenging and introducing new and innovative methods of creative execution.

  • Develop and design concepts and execute creative material as required.

  • Convey and develop overall interactive team design vision by defining group direction and goals.

  • Assign creative leads and develop accounts and project team.

  • Establish designing wireframes and interactive click-through prototypes.

  • Select particular business segment and provide tactical and strategic direction.

  • Create user journey mapping and end to end user flows.

  • Conduct remote usability testing with customer feedback.

  • Convey design concepts to various internal and external audiences.

  • Manage design processes to ensure timely delivery of designs.

  • Contribute strategically to brand design business component.

  • Provide influencing ideas to enhance department productivity.

  • Lead and direct work intake and overall design project assignment process.

  • Hiring and training new employees

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role

  • 3+ years experience with design systems and a strong portfolio of design projects

  • Background in project management and research

  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture

  • Proficient in design software (e.g. Sketch, Abstract, Storybook, User Testing)

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus

  • Problem-solving aptitude

  • Analytical mind with a business acumen

  • Excellent communication skills

  • BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

  • 3+ years experience in team management

  • Experience with agile scrum methodologies

A Big Plus:

  • Experience with Sass

  • Familiar with CSS methodologies such as BEM, SMACSS, Atomic design, etc.

  • Experience with Jira or similar tool to track user stories through development

  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure development a plus

  • Comfortable in Agile Scrum development
